Web Content

The content of the website is the key to the whole site. The content will very much determine the layout of each page, the number of pages, and which page should link to the other pages, which ultimately will determine the look of the whole web site.

By putting your information onto the World Wide Web it will provide access to your business on a global basis 24 hours a day. This information can be used to advertise your business, sell products and services, and establish a presence in the online business community.

To join the online business community?

Firstly You only need to have an idea what information you want to put online, and somewhere to put it online. This will include setting up a domain name and site hosting (for more information go to Site Hosting).

To give us an idea on what styles you like we recommend that you browse the internet and send us a sample of sites that you particularly like which will help us create a basic design, which can now be fine tuned to reflect the content you want as your web presence.

One way of identifying what is to be put onto the web is to regard your web presence as an online brochure, or sales catalogue. If creating a paper based brochure what would you put in this? As this is a different format some of the language may need to be altered to suit an online audience.

The content is the key to a successful website, and differentiate your site from your competitors.

What can go onto the website?

In order to publicise your business to the global market you will need to provide the same information that you would for the local market, plus any additional relevant information.

This can be in a text format, or graphical format. Graphical format can either be drawing styles, photographic styles, or animated graphics. These will provide the information required to sell your services or goods.

Electronic formats of documents such as specifications, plans, price lists, menus, may also be included. By including documents in an electronic format allows your potential customer to access your offline promotional material immediately, with a minimal cost to you, no printing or posting required.
