Site Hosting

The first thing you need to do is decide on a domain name that's if you haven’t already done so, this name should represent the name of your business. Then you will have to decide on a web hosting company which will enable you to purchase your domain name and an area to host your website which is called site hosting or web hosting.

coPrime do not provide web hosting or domain names however we would be happy to recommend one to meet your personal needs, and if required we would also be happy to co-ordinate the initial setup on your behalf.

If you already have a hosting company website and ISP, we're happy to work with them to publish your new website.

When selecting hosting there are some criteria you should consider.

Support - Telephone support is important for when things go wrong. Communicating by e-mail support is still good although it can be tricky explaining detailed problems in an e-mail.

Bandwidth - Bandwidth is the actual amount that has been transferred by the host. If you accept a lot of traffic to your site then accept to pay more.

E-mail - Be sure the hosting company caters for your e-mail requirements. You may want multiple e-mail addresses. You may also look for Spam and virus screening.
